Kickin Birthday

I needed a birthday card for a little boy who is very dear to me.   I decided to used Mo's Digital Pencil.  This image is so cute and I computer generated the sentiment to go with it.  I hope you enjoy and thinks for looking!

Happy Birthday SMC style

I have some monthly swaps that I am in with SCS.   I love this one b/c it is for 13 cards and each month we have a theme that the hostess picked out prior.  This month was birthday so I decided to use my SMC image toga that is a cute little turtle.  the paper I used was by American Craft.  I colored it with copic markers and added faux brads to finish him off.  I hope you enjoy.

Also used for http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/

Enjoy, it's National Belly Laugh Day

Who knew!   I did not know but I love it who couldn't use a good belly laugh!  As it happy Bugaboo's stamps has some great digi stamps  that fit the bill.   I could have made cards all day that could make you chuckle but here are just a couple projects I did.   Meet Gus, isn't he a hoot.  I just love him.  If you need a little more Gus in your life head over to Bugaboo and get yours now!

Tutorial Wednesday at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog

Faux Flower Soft

What is flower soft??  Flower soft is a great product that adds texture and dimension to your projects.

I know you all have seen it and then saw the price and decided you didn’t need it that bad. I know I have. Well here is a much cheaper alternative.

All you need are the things in this picture:

That’s right Styrofoam, a cheese grater and re-inkers or food coloring works just as well.
Here is my stash.

Ok this can be a messy job that is why I try to do all my colors at one time. You take the Styrofoam and you grate it. It will go everywhere so if you have a tray sit it on top so it is not so messy but don’t worry it will clean up! I grate mine into the rubber stamp boxes.

After I have grated what I want grated I put some in a little container and add coloring you can add more but cannot take away that way you get the desired color. After you have colored store in an air tight container. White is perfect uncolored for snow see below the scarf is also fuzzy .  You can get green and not have to color at all. I get mine at Walmart and have gotten some at the Dollar Tree as well.

When you go to use it us apply all purpose white glue, just a thin layer and using your fingers or tweezers put your faux flower soft on the part you have added glue to, gently push down into the glue brush of excess. I found when using the white if you have large surfaces keep in a large clear container and work over it, this helps keep it contained.

I hope you will try this very easy technique and I am sure you will love the results.
The cute snowman is from Bugaboo digi stamps go check them out you wont be disappointed.

Last post of the night!

This little cutie is also a bugaboo, how sweet is she!   I like her because she is not the cutesy valentines images.   I use K&CO paper for the card and my MS arches punch and the SU scallop punch .  I used my fav tool of all times which is my Diamond Glaze.  I use it so much b/c I love the effect.   I  wanted to also use some other colors than your typical pink and red, thus the blue and green.

Here are the challenges that this cutie will be joining:

Theme:

Teen aged girl theme

Another Challenge

This is a cute little marshmellow snowman from Bugaboo!  Isn't he cute as soon as I saw him I thougt WEEEEEE!  He makes me wanna go sledding, ok maybe if I was about 20 or more years younger!   He looks like he is having fun though.   I put him in a winter scene coloring page which I struck done to scale and colored him with copics and added glitter, used my MS sprig punch for tree and instant winter.  I also followed a sketch challenge on this. Paper used was K&C company paper I had picked up at Micheal's, ribbon is royal ribbon I found at Joann's for a steal.   Below are the challenges thanks for looking!
